Ealing Council has duped residents in Ealing in believing that wheelie bins are a good idea.

I live in Acton Central Ward and on my side of the street are a number of houses converted into a number of self-contained flats, 18 in total. That would mean 36 wheelie bins in 3 houses. None of my neighbours bother to recycle their waste! This is typical across the borough.

If Ealing Council thinks that providing a new wheelie bin will increase the level of recycle waste then they are mad!!!

Its not the wheelie bin or the old green box that the Council needs to educate, its Ealing Residents, they put the rubbish out...

Julian Bell you need to look at this again, Northern Councils have tried and failed to educate their residents and in fact abandon fortnightly collections last year. Hammersmith and Fulham have weekly rubbish collections and have no issues with their rubbish.

My question to the Head of rubbish collection, how much was the overall percentage increase in recycling in Southall since Ealing introduced wheelie bins in 2008?

I think that ALL that this pointless exercise will create is more illegal fly tipping, which will not save Council Tax payers any money or even reduce the amount of rubbish Ealing sends to landfill.

The question to Ealing Labour Party is stop destroying the Queen of the Suburbs. Creating more housing units is great for housing people, but the knock on affect is More Rubbish!!! Which will need to go to landfill..
