Nothing at all illegal about a social worker accessing medical records if they are part of the care management team of a vulnerable individual.

Yes schools can fine parents for unauthorised absences as they have a legal obligation to educate as do the parents of the child.

If teachers take organised industrial action and withdraw their labour then the schools are not 'allowing this', they have no choice but to accede to an organised dispute; that's the law. most make alternative provision in such circumstances. I see no conflict with the foregoing and certainly not a matter of securing the 'moral high ground'.

I do hope that you discontent is not based solely on the foregoing but I wish you well.
