Owner found! Ealing council weren't much help - called the non emergency police as advised by the RSPCA, who told me to contact the dog warden at Ealing council. Did so and whoever took my message to pass on to the out of hours dog warden took them down totally wrong - wrong name entirely and half a phone number! Dog warden turned up - at least they got my address right! - the same time as the owner and verified the dogs micro chip with the gentleman's driving license. Went down to the road that I found the dog on a few hours later and owner had put notices up. The dog has a whale of a time in the garden with my own dog!
