| Hi I'm an SNT officer for Elthorne ward. We border Walpole ward (and share an office with them) and have most of the north side of the uxbridge road in West Ealing (including the Green Man estate). We are well aware of the drug problems in the area and i'd like to completely refute the notion that we're not interested in tackling them. Our PCSOs spend a good part of their shift out and about on their bikes looking for people engaging in this sort of activity. We also conduct plain clothes patrols hoping to catch people in the act. We've had some very positive results. If there is regular dealing going on at a specific place and time then trust me we would be VERY interested in hearing about it. Please also remember that there is one sergeant, two pc's and three pcso's per ward and we have many other things to deal with such as neighbour disputes, anti-social behaviour, meetings to go to etc. However tackling drug dealing in west ealing is certainly a priority for us. |
