The street party was definitely kept quiet. There was nothing in the normal press and nothing on the Ealing Council website before the event which is unusual for such a large event involding thousands of people and lots of council input. The fact of the matter is that the article you cite appeared in February and the wedding and part happened at the end of April. QED. It is a sad fact that the rest of Ealing outside Southall does not exist for Ealing's Labour Group and that what we have is a Mayor of Southall, a council leader of Southall Council, and an MP of Southall who has forgetton that his Ealing Southall constituency covers South Ealing, Northfields, West Ealing. and Hanwell. |
