Hanwell Carnival is in its 51st year in 2011 – the longest continuous carnival in London - and we're planning it already. It’s a wonderful day out for families – a traditional carnival which not only entertains but also raises funds for local charities. The theme this year is “Wild West 7” so we’re hoping for some outlandish costumes. We’re also thinking about a “Fringe Carnival” to run the week before where local societies/groups could hold events . We need volunteers, acts to entertain the crowds, people who’d like to be in the procession, and, of course, we’ll be looking for this year’s Carnival Queen and Princess. All the details – and forms for you to register interest are on the website http://www.hanwellcarnival.co.uk/ and click ‘get involved’ |
