| Our newsletter says, 'That font of all 'virtual' knowledge - Wikipedia, has produced a list of well known people who have lived in these here parts. Ealing seems to have attracted a rather mixed bag; politicians, sportspeople, novelists, comedians and musicians. We are probably aware of most of them - Prime Minister Spencer Perceval, and tennis supremo Fred Perry and more recently Peter Crouch (of course) but take a look at these and see if there are any surprises. I never knew Freddie Mercury went to college here. Are there any that you can think of that are missing from this list? Please add them here - on the forum.' Wiki, IMO, scores 'nil points' here for church history. So add, Richard Baxter John Henry Newman John Owen for starters. |
