Oh dear you're not expecting them to bring home the Cup are you? As has been discussed at length on other threads, footballers are paid too much and achieve little. Perhaps they should be made to pay back some of the exorbitant funds they are given. After all its just a game and one that is overrated.
Too much money has been spent on all the hype and adverts (not to mention the players' outrageous salaries), money that could have been spent on far more worthwhile causes.
