So even the fares is an immigrant problem in Alan's distorted view of the world. On this logic, does he suggest that once you have a job in London, you have to stay living in London, even though by moving out you may actually be able to afford the house with garden and clean air for your children that you might wish? One of my colleagues commutes in at a cost of nearly £4,000 from Hampshire - not because he is trying to take the job of a Londoner, but because he is able to afford a better place there to bring up his three kids in than he could possibly do in London. What no-one seems to be pointing out on this thread is that those who travel in from Ealing Broadway and the other zone 3 stations in the borough actually have a freeze on the cost of a single journey ticket - so why the complaints - or is it just we like to moan about everything? |
