LOL love the "carved the River Cottage way". Yes, I use the slow cooker for making stock. It's easier than using a pan where I sometimes used to manage to let it boil dry which made me cross as one minute I'd be thinking how nice it was I'll just leave it a little longer and the next it was too long and it had to be thrown out. (In the food waste bin of course.) You can also make porridge and rice pudding in it. There are some good recipes on the Sainsbury's forum. |
