The Government's Public Inquiry into whether a very large housing estate ('Arcadia') can be built just across the road from Ealing Broadway Station starts at 10:00am on Tuesday 23rd June in Ealing Town Hall.

The Government is expected to accept or reject Glenkerrin's Arcadia plans by Winter 2009.

All of you can come and watch as local residents, Save Ealing's Centre representatives, a Government Inspector, Ealing Council Officers, and highly paid barristers, architects and planning gurus slug it out for some three weeks. It doesn't look like the property developers themselves will actually speak.

The Inquiry sits 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday to Thursday and 9:30am to 2:00pm on Fridays. The Inquiry end is likely to be during the week of 13th July 2009.

Incredibly, and  for the first time ever, information about Arcadia appears on Ealing Council's web sitehome page. And the web site is working right now.
