Thank you so much Keith, David, Alan and Tony for all your help, guidance and advice. I didn't realise things would be so complicated! The tapes were recorded in the '60s and '70s so they're probably mono. I have 7" tapes and smaller but anything more technical as to speed of recording etc, I have no idea. Unless I can find some tech no-wizz-kid nearby I think I'll take your advice, buy a machine on eBay and chance it. Again many thanks for all your help. Anne |
