How is that easier? How does paying to stay over the Stop and Shop time free up spaces? What happens to the vast amount of Data collected and what's the environmental impact of that storage? What will they do with the data? What are the terms and conditions for the 'customer'? Pre Stop & Shop and pre the huge additional costs to small trading, many businesses were near crippled by CPZs and the loss of passing trade. This is so insane it ought to be laughable. But it isn't as it will impact too many in too many ways. It is not mandatory to possess a Smartphone. It is not mandatory to have a banking app on it. Advice is to never use your device in a public place and certainly not with any transactions. Phone snatching is rife in this borough, What about the older or less articulate, who need reading glasses or shade to see their devices? One day these people who clearly are agist and self centred in their outlook will also be older or find themselves picking up the pieces for those they care about who get ostracised by such hindrances. I would not wish it on anyone but sometimes maybe a week of being in a simulated environment might enlighten a little. And I suspect prior to becoming older and wiser, would have applied to me in my earlier career years. How will this 'Digitally' obsessed initiative make a simple effective system that works, Better ? Most of the local shops and businesses have had no notice of this plan, all done online and only two completely obscure and non communicative organisations for elderly and disabled were engaged with bit nothing to the umbrella and conduit organisation that can engage with residents. Very few with issues using devices and mobility are officially disabled or get a Blue Badge, as ever this just adds burden upon burden. The glib report by and officer, full of flaws and questionable research and made up hypothesis is a true waste of salary but no doubt won't be questioned by the inept and 'policy' led bullies in Ealing Council who simply don't care about anything other than their egos. One party mindset with all the traits of countries that this nation stood up and gave lives to curb |
