From the article on the front page of this site it doesn’t appear that Ealing council is going to get involved Rosco, or throw money at it. We were to become a ‘borough of sanctuary’ for refugees according to a much trumpeted move last year but whether that’s been officially done is anyone’s guess. That would meet some of the demands of the Palestinian supporters. While I sympathise with the plight of the innocent victims on all sides of the current conflagrations in the Middle East, it really isn’t down to Ealing Council to sort it out. Unfortunately these campaigners seem to think that UK influence is far greater than it is. |
