The recently reopened Forester pub in Ealing has raised a few eyebrows, and not just because of its swanky new makeover. Eagle-eyed locals have noticed a continued ommission, the pub's traditional name, "The Forrester" with two R's, continues to be omitted in favour of a single R "Forester" - hardly the nod to its historic past that the owner Fuller Smith and Turner emphasizes.

Now, some might say it's just a minor detail, a typo perhaps. But for those in the know, the double R held significance. It was a nod to the pub's rich history, a symbol of its long-standing presence in the community. So why the change?

Adding to the intrigue is the involvement of two prominent Labour figures: Dr Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing, and Mayor Hitesh Tailor. Both have been spotted endorsing and even opening the pub, which is owned by Fuller Smith and Turner, a company traditionally associated with the Conservative Party.

This has left many scratching their heads. Why would Labour politicians support a business owned by their political rivals? Is this a sign of changing times, a blurring of party lines? Or is there something more to this story?
