It may have been rather Hush Hush but it has been easy to tell something was up in Ealing early this week. The traffic has been flowing with lights phasing returned to how it was. Just for 2 days. Ealing Green was not only cleaned and swept but done properly for the first time in years. Even the railings were washed and properly cleaned to reveal they are still painted white.  Bins were cleaned out, all litter and tree and leaf detritus removed, Pavements and walks and benched  pressure washed. And all in just 2 days The area looks for once, like it very much used to look all the time.  Neat, tidy and presentable. For the local people and visitors? Not a chance. Just for a King, Just for one day.
