Usual claims by Ealing Council that they brought this about. Not actually true. GWR had to find an urban main line branch link to test the class 230 train within range of servicing facilities. The Greenford Branch is the only one signalled and meets the criteria. Ealing had no hand it this as it was planned by GWR and Network rail and the Rail delivery authority. TfL and Ealing were simply notified. |
