Its wet leaves and the sacks being biodegradable, have very little tensile strength. In other words, they split or burst when overweight. That causes more work and thus more time wasted. Less leaves dealt with. Different leaf varieties compost at different rates and some are toxic, some can carry disease spores and others acidic. So even when composted it might look good but may not suit what you grow. The more one learns the more it becomes a challenge. |
