Interesting to see this post again!

Are you sure you aren't contributing?  There is a high take-away culture as well!  We Brits have had meals created especially for us.  We can search out the healthier take-aways with less oil and ghee and make the point when buying that this is what we are looking for, and wipe/soak up with newspaper the excessive oil in the bottom of containers before binning the paper and then rinsing the recyclable containers.

The original post must have been before we were so aware of the incredible amount of other unflushables being flushed eg wipes which just solidify to make these enormous fatbergs.  They turn up in the most genteel of towns!
