| Awa an boil yer heed yer muppet! Actually, to develop the theme, while avoiding gratuitous insults, I read neither The Sun nor The Daily Mail. If one simply looks at the flow of ENGLISH investment TO Scotland when compared with the supposed revenue FROM Scotland (do remember that 'your' oil is running out) the economic picture is so skewed that the chances of a truly independent Scotland surviving financially are remote. Such is the frailty of the Scottish banking system that the SNP have called for a 'UK wide' regulatory system 'as protection' (source: Herald Scotland). Sorry, but if Scotland chooses to leave the UK then it has to manage itself, you cannot pick and choose which laws or regulations are of financial benefit. Early signs perhaps that all is not well in the 'Tartan garden'. |
