| My system is deliberately configured to display html or rtf emails as plain text, and all are ignored if the contents are not immediately obvious to me. Everything is viewed in plain text using a machine that will ignore any virus and will not attempt to access other locations or drag in unknown junk. Any attempt to access another location immediately opens a gateway through any firewall protection you may have and invites in any response through an established path. Unknown or dubious sites are viewed from a machine running from a read-only system (DVD). |
