| Avoid Mumbai-to-Go; try The Guru oposite TVU. I went to Mumbai-to-Go about a week after they had re-opened following the week-long environmental health closure (not knowing about the environmental health thing) and I was violently ill half way through a take-away that tasted of barbeque lighting fluid (parafin). The food looked as though it had been re-heated in a microwave and the chicken was like a sponge. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The computers and counters are all covered in dust and grime if you look in though the windows in daylight. Sadly, the days of quality curry are long gone in South Ealing and there is not one of the established restaurants that is anywhere near as good as it used to be years ago. Not nostalgia, but fact. Having said all this, I have had several good curry's from The Guru Tandoori Express which is on St Mary's Road just south of The Castle pub opposite TVU. It also does excellent take-away chips! (The Guru took over the premises of Winnies Chinese takeaway) |
