Sara, You will have to make your own decision but Parking Eye will have little real leverage against you in practice and if you don't pay they will give up after some huffing and puffing.  You do admit though that you were in the wrong and this car park would be unusable for the purpose it is meant to serve if Parking Eye were not there so you might pay if you felt it was a fair cop.
