The reason I compared 11-18 year-olds bus passes with Blue Badge holders was that generally Blue Badge holders are the older generation. Many of us must have seen the sole occupant, therefor driver, of a Blue Badged vehicle stop, set the badge, get out, and run across the road. Loss of a Blue Badge is also a financial penalty, no more convenient free parking on council roads or at parking meters. It's also significant that the new Freedom Pass contains an embedded photograph and is posted to the applicant's address. Is someone going to tell me that TfL have only just discovered embedded photograph technology and the Royal Mail. I think not. |
