It's not a bad exercise to travel incognito on the bus that your son/daughter uses. It may be reassuring or a real shock. What would be considered bad behaviour 20 years ago is just not comparable. But it does differ wildly between districts and schools. It is noticable that the 'posh' schools have the gobbiest and most filthy utterings whilst the 'lesser' schools have them most noise, traditional swearing but best humour. It does show the divide may exist but the general downward behavior spans the lot. kids are clever, they know how to avoid the cameras, and cameras cannot record the language being used and the threats and nastiness uttered. Just for a change, the Ealing kids are pretty good with the exception of the Notting Hill girls who are so rude that they would make a prostitute blush. I can only comment on the 65 as thats the route I use |
