The problem with redevelopment in Ealing, and elsewhere, is that it is patchy.

Aside from grandiose schemes which will probably never be accomplished in the original form (Arcadia) and smaller schemes which have stalled (ABC cinema, what's the excuse - they've just discovered rear-projection?) Ealing Broadway has always been a hotch-potch of unco-ordinated, mis-matched buildings, having only one similarity - they all look awful.

Even the office buildings to the west are mis-matched.

A co-ordinated look to the whole of Ealing's Uxbridge Road would be a start.

I agree EBC should be demolished. It is merely a commercial centre and is time expired.

Even if Dicken's Yard is built it still leaves one of Ealing's ugliest, inside and out, and probably least energy efficient, office buildings next to it at the junction of Longfield Avenue and Uxbridge Road.
