Alex, This is not just a rant. And you are quite right to post it. Your problem raises all sorts of questions to which we as punters deserve answers. Was this a rogue warden? Was it his first day ? Was this just an error of judgement? Was he over-zealous? Was he engaged in a vendetta against the public which clouded his vision? Or was he struggling with performance targets set by his employer? Was he cheating the public in collusion with his employer? Was he just poorly trained or was he suffering from "the football ref's eye"? Was he a she? We may never know. You may escape payment but the fate of the parking officer my be forever hidden from public scrutiny. Why? He or she may have escaped without even a comment by his supervisor. If his evidence appears fradulent then that is only to our eyes. The police see no case and will not pursue the parking officer. The parking portfolio holder Cllr Phil Taylor may wish to comment but seems to have developed writer's cramp in the other CPZ thread on this page. This problem is much more simple and I am sure Alex you will soon see his reply.....and your ticket cancelled.
