This may be nothing, but this morning I noticed traces of a pinkish/reddish paste or clay type substance around my front door lock. I don't know if it's possible to get an imprint of a yale key by pushing some substance in there, letting it harden and removing it - but perhaps it is.
I found traces on a few of my neighbour's locks and told them about it, and one of them said that they had woken up in the middle of the night hearing what they thought was someone trying to force their front door.
As I said, this may be nothing - but if you have a safety chain, please use it at night. I have told the police as well. As for geography, I am in the Cuckoo Estate in Hanwell. |
