| All local authorities have a clear statutory obligation to work to reduce crime including hate crime. This legally binds them to take measures which generally requires close partnership working with other agencies including the police. Both of you have castigated both the council and the Mayor for a lack of action on crime so it looks like you are only concerned about money being wasted on crimes of which you are unlikely to be a victim. |
