A quote from Peter Mason's  “Leaders Notes” in the recently circulated Around Ealing Extra email :-

“Our parks are one of the things that makes our borough truly special. Every town has major parks and hidden gems that allow people to enjoy the outdoors on their doorstep.
The council has improved parks and sports facilities across the borough, so that everyone can enjoy and unwind or get active.”

I guess he's not aware of the Lammas Park SUDS (or is it a wetlands?)?

Also, from a recent Labour Party flyer delivered to homes prior to the May elections, under the Our Pledges To You section :-
Bring The Cost of Living Down.
By increasing Council Tax? More than tripling Residents Parking Permit costs over the last few years? Fining you if you turn left out of Longfield Avenue onto New Broadway/Uxbridge Road, instead of the more dangerous right?

Strengthen Pride in Our Towns
Maybe sweep residential street occasionally? Remove fallen leaves before they rot into inches deep mud blocking gutter?

Incredible!
