Many of you will remember Carolyn Brown, the formidable Chair of the Hanwell Residents Association, and her tireless work that she did for the community on the things she believed in most.

In 2001, she vigorously campaigned for Half Acre and Station Road to be blocked off from the Uxbridge Road because of the residential roads were being used as a constant rat-run. Would anyone like to care to confirm if they were?

Whilst having a cup of tea with her, Carolyn told me that she was fed up with constant traffic going past her front door - the last straw for her was when one of her beloved cats nearly got run over - that she used all her super powers to get the blockade put in.

For all her diligent work she did for Hanwell I was always at a loss to understand Carolyn's position on hating LTN's, when she was the principal person to have had her road blocked off.
