The seats are nice and soft and have headrests, however I don't find them ergonomically well-designed. The headrest pushes your head down slightly, while the seat can recline. This makes it good if you're sitting in one particular row (just over half-way up). If you're too close or too far then it's really quite awkward.

I wear glasses, so I'm probably more sensitive to my head position. Also, I had surgery on both knees 10 years ago, and for some reason when I get up after sitting for two hours at the Picturehouse, I can barely walk. I don't feel any pain during the film itself.

My main complaint is the auditorium at the Picturehouse isn't dark enough. It's noticeable with films that rely on a lot of darkness and shadow (which happen to be films I like). I did contact them about this, but I think it must be a standard setting across all of their screens.

Anyway, you can see I've given this a lot of consideration 😄
