| Paybyphone have updated their app, which has totally broken it. I would strongly recommend that nobody lets the app upgrade itself, although I wouldn't be at all surprised if the problem is with their back end systems in which case the existing app will also be broken. The app shows that I have a valid visitor parking permit, but when I touch the button to use it nothing happens. It also refuses to admit that there are any nearby parking locations even when standing next to one. There are tens of thousands of one star reviews of this garbage (no stars isn't an option unfortunately). An AI bot seems to have been posting replies to the bad reviews admitting that permits are broken and saying that they should start working again shortly. I wonder if our car hating council will refund any parking fines due to people being unable to pay to park :) |
