The idea is not to give away too much information. The councillors will know more than they let on, particularly those cabinet members. Cllr Manro seemed to think the Waitrose decision is imminent, whereas Justine Sullivan from Stop the Towers (who actually contested the appeal) had been told a decision was months away. You probably noticed that information given to the public is tightly controlled and generally spun to show the council in a favourable light. |
