Peter, I haven’t imposed a blanket rule nor would I want to. I am also not forcing anyone to walk or cycle or use public transport. Please point me to any posts I’ve made which is ‘anti-car’. You won’t be able to, because I haven’t written any. What I have done is promote cycling as an option for people who may not know much about it. I do this because I cycle to work every day. I have mentioned on previous posts how I initially made the decision for financial and health reasons. I have also probably made comments about public transport (such as the Elizabeth Line) as it gets you to the other side of London and everywhere in between very quickly and efficiently. I am in no way forcing anyone to board a train they don’t want to get on. Each to their own, but please don’t berate me for expressing my opinion and sharing my experience. That’s partly what a forum is for, is it not? For this reason I’ve asked people their ideas on the future of Ealing, London, and living in a city. I thought it would be interesting and might make a welcome break from people casting assumptions and calling each other silly names. |
