Congratulations to Dominik for turning this thread into his cycling echo chamber, even wheeling in his chums to bump up the figures. Cycling for most is a leisure activity, according to Cycling UK (a far less obnoxious bunch than the LCC). https://www.cyclinguk.org/statistics Numbers have declined since the pandemic because people don’t have the luxury of time to go for a spin if they have proper jobs, unlike the ‘photographer’ and ‘film maker’ on here. It’s also very seasonal. Not many out and about on bikes today in Ealing and Chiswick. Bit too cold and wet for most. Saying you want roads empty is just bullshit, Dominik. What you want and what most other people want are two different things. Now I suggest you stick to X and enjoy a conversation with chums who don’t disagree with you! |
