| Yes, I think maybe Eric lead us down a topic I didn’t intend to cover. If we stick to the roads in this post. How do you see roads ideally? Would they be busy but free-flowing, or would they be empty the majority of the time? Would pavements be wider in places with more pedestrians or should they remain the same width? Should we still have dual carriageways, or have more of them? Is noise a problem, or is it not something we need to think about now that we have advances in double-glazing. Should speed limits be determined from the point of view of pedestrians or drivers, or is there a ‘sweet spot’ in between? That kind of thing. I know this could spiral on and on. I’m just interested in what people see when I ask the question. I thought it might be interesting to have all these thoughts in one place and discuss them in case we find any similarities, rather than always picking out our differences. |
