| As a newcomer to the forum I was quite excited by interacting with my neighbours over various local issues. I know there have been divisive subjects of conversation locally, and although I'm not on social media such as Twitter, I do keep up with local Facebook groups. I have lively conversations with people I disagree with all the time, but we never call each other names simply for taking a different view. What adult does that? Why has this forum been taken over by a small group of people who are so insecure that they persistently have to resort to playground insults? I invite others who visit to bring some decorum and maturity to the Ealing Today Forum. It is badly needed, and I suspect will be very welcome by the majority of us who would like a constructive discussion, whether we agree with one another or not. |
