| I'm going to plagiarise a film buff friend who is a third generation Ealingite ( if that's the term! Either the Bijou ( From the Ealing Film with Virginia Travers Bill TraversPeter Sellers, Leslie Phillips a brilliant film about a small cinema ) or revive the much loved Walpole Cinema name. The amazing frontage of the Walpole Cinema survives albeit stuffed away off Mattock Lane. I'm told that it was going to be incorporated into the development in Bond Street but in the end Concrete and glass prevailed. |
