I have tried for years to get a local community computer club where people could help each other to learn. The entire Lyra Block 2 ground floor in North Acton was supposed to be for community use but has remained empty since the building was completed several years ago, while I was told by one of my local councillors "No, kids might join and learn how to access the internet" (try to stop them!). If anyone is interested, my own website runs from a credit card size RaspberryPi version 2B computer designed to teach school kids. Well over 25 million RaspberryPi computers have been sold, and the latest version 4B sells for around 50.00 pounds depending on the amount of RAM memory. http://chrisbell.org.uk |
