| TfL is looking at introducing changes to from the start of their new contracts in April 2019. Both routes will CONTINUE to serve Westfield via the entrance adjacent to Shepherd’s Bush station. We are proposing to terminate both routes at Shepherd’s Bush Station, which is currently the second to last stop. Both routes would no longer run between Shepherd’s Bush Station and White City Bus Station. The reason for doing this is because of the recent changes at White City (associated with the expansion of the Westfield complex) which included the transfer of the bus standing facility to a new location to the north of Ariel Way which has increased the time taken for buses to travel out of service between White City bus station and the new stand facility. The proposed changes to routes 207 and 607 are an opportunity to make significant economic efficiencies which we can reinvest elsewhere in our network. The connection between Shepherds Bush and White City bus station would still be provided by several other bus routes including the 31, 49, 228, 237, 260, 316, at a combined peak hour frequency of around 35 buses per hour (a bus every 2 mins). We will aim to consult on this later in the year or early 2019 and I will ensure that you and your neighbours have the opportunity to have your say. |
